Osteria 16 — Tableware

The table is set before the first course

The plates that arrive before the food. The glasses that extend a conversation. Objects that understand that the table is already an event.

La Tavola

The objects that complete a meal have nothing to do with decoration

A plate is not a surface. It is a frame. The weight of a glass changes the way you hold a pause in conversation. The rim of a bowl decides whether a broth is sipped or spooned. We chose every piece for what it does to the moment — not for how it photographs.

01

Set like we set ours

Every piece in this collection has lived through hundreds of services. Tested across seasons — the heavier ceramics that feel right when autumn arrives, the thinner glass that belongs to long summer evenings. Nothing was chosen from a catalogue. Everything was chosen at the table.

A beautifully set restaurant table with candlelight
There is a silence just before the meal begins — when the table is set and the candles are lit and everyone understands that something is about to happen.
I

The plate is a stage. What rests on it deserves a frame, not a pedestal.

II

The glass is a conversation. Its weight, its balance, the way light passes through — all of it shapes the evening.

III

The table is the event. Before anyone sits down, the room already has a voice.

Hands that learned from their parents

The ceramics come from small Italian workshops where the craft passes between generations. Handblown glass from artisans whose hands carry decades of muscle memory. Each piece holds a slight irregularity — proof that a person made it, not a machine.

Patina

Objects that age beautifully

We are drawn to things that get better with use. A glaze that deepens over years. A glass whose tiny imperfections catch the light differently each evening. We chose objects that do not try to stay new — they agree to grow old alongside the meals they carry.

Yours

Your table, set like ours

This is exactly what we use at Osteria 16. The same plates, the same glasses, the same feeling when you sit down and everything is already right. We wanted our guests to take the whole evening home.
